Remix Design Studio is a combined effort between Lead Designer, Libby Martin, and Rick Halvorson Construction Inc.

Rick Halvorson Construction was established in 1992 and brings to the table over 30 years of experience in remodeling and home building. Rick believes in "doing it right" and that there is no project too big or too small to tackle.

Libby Martin is an Interior Designer with a background in new home construction and design. She has put her aesthetic touch on over 250 homes and has a passion for working with people and catering to their specific needs.

Together Libby and Rick offer a full-service home remodeling and building experience complete with quality construction and cohesive design to make you feel right at home!

WHAT WE OFFER

At Remix Design Studio, we focus on two areas of design: Remodeling and Interior Design. Do you have a kitchen or bathroom that needs an update? Do you want to double the square footage of your home, or build a new one? Or maybe you're tired of the decor in your home and need a fresh new look. Whether you are interested in replacing an outdated countertop, finishing your basement, or can't decide which pillows and artwork would best suit your space, we would love to chat with you about it.

HOW IT WORKS

Remodeling

We will meet with you on-site, if possible to review your project, see the scope of work, and follow up with a proposal and free estimate. We will include allowances for finishes from our studio in the proposal based on our initial review. Once you sign the proposal and go under contract, we will set up an in-studio design meeting to select finishes. That's the fun part! Then we will manage ordering all materials and scheduling the labor and installation all the way through to the completion of your project. We aim to make the process simple and easy so you can enjoy your new space as soon as possible.

Interior Design

We have lots of options available to meet your needs. We offer a simple Color Consult to help select colors for your next painting project. We have several tiered packages for Interior Design services where we can meet in your home, use what you have, and/or make suggestions for what we think you should add to bring your space to life. We also offer Staging Services for realtors, builders, and sellers alike to set your home apart from all others when it hits the market. We are fortunate to have The Mix next door to utilize for all of our Interior Design Services. Give us a call or come in and ask more about our different design options.

Studio

our products

Our state of the art studio was built with the client experience in mind. We have worked carefully to curate the product we show. We don't want to overwhelm you with every option available on the market, but to provide you with selections we believe to be of excellent quality. Our neutral displays are custom made to be easy on the eye and contribute to a calming environment. We carry a variety of floor coverings and tile, a full line of countertops, and custom cabinetry that is locally made. We also have a working kitchen to showcase what we can do in your home. Our goal is to have everything you need here and eliminate the need for you to drive all over town. If we don't have what you need, we will source it for you. We hope that when you walk through the doors of our studio, you feel right at home!

Meet the Team

Libby Martin

As Lead Designer, Libby wears many hats at Remix Design Studio. You might find her on site working with subs, behind her laptop working on bids and drawings, or in the studio selecting finishes with clients for their remodeling projects. She also loves playing around with floor plans and color pallets for new construction homes. In her free time, Libby enjoys being outdoors as much as possible and spending time with her family and her dog, Rocky. You might even get to see Rocky on a lucky day in the studio.

Ashley Mickelson

In May 2023, Ashley joined Remix Design Studio as a Designer & Studio Manager. We are excited to add Ashley's eye for design, organization, and marketing skills to the team. Ashley will focus her talents on interior design with clients in their homes, either using their decor or sourcing from our neighbors at The Mix and elsewhere. She's our behind the scenes gal for social media, so feel free to say hi! In her free time (what's that?!), Ashley and her husband wrangle their 4 kids to activities, family adventures and weekends at the lake.
